the deal between you and bios.

what bios is
bios is an mcp (model context protocol) server operated by mealfix. when you connect it to claude or chatgpt, it gives the assistant memory of your meals, workouts, sleep, mood, and goals — so future conversations don't start from zero.
"bios", "we", and "us" mean mealfix and the bios service. "you" means you, the person using bios.
who can use it
- you must be 18 or older, or have a parent/guardian's permission and supervision.
- you must have a working claude.ai or chatgpt account (free tier is fine for claude; chatgpt requires plus/team/enterprise).
- one account per person. don't share credentials.
not medical advice
bios is not a doctor, dietitian, or therapist. nothing it says — through claude, chatgpt, or anywhere else — is medical, nutritional, or mental health advice. it logs what you tell it and helps an llm reason over that log.
before changing your diet, exercise, sleep, medication, or treating any health condition, talk to a qualified professional. if you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number — not claude.
what's yours
everything you log is yours. you can export it, delete it, or take it elsewhere any time. see the privacy policy for the mechanics.
what we ask from you
don't:
- try to access another user's data, the underlying database, or our infrastructure beyond what the connector exposes.
- use bios to abuse, threaten, or harm anyone — including yourself.
- scrape, automate, or rate-abuse the connector beyond reasonable personal use. we may rate-limit if traffic looks like a script.
- impersonate another person, falsify identity, or use bios in violation of any law that applies to you.
- use bios to build a competing service by scraping our outputs.
availability
bios is provided "as is". we'll try to keep it running, but we don't promise specific uptime, response times, or that any feature will exist forever. if we plan to take down a feature you depend on, we'll give at least 30 days notice for paying users (when paid plans exist) and best-effort notice for free users.
liability
to the extent allowed by law, mealfix is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of bios. our total liability for any claim is capped at whatever you paid us in the prior 12 months, or ₹5,000, whichever is greater.
this doesn't limit liability for things the law doesn't allow us to limit (gross negligence, fraud, etc.).
termination
by you: delete your account any time. your data is removed within 7 days.
by us: if you violate these terms or use bios in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure, we may suspend or terminate your account. we'll tell you why and give you a chance to export your data before deletion, unless the violation is severe enough that immediate suspension is needed.
third-party services
bios depends on claude, chatgpt, supabase, and cloudflare. their terms apply to your use of those parts. we're not responsible for their outages, billing, or policy changes.
changes
if we change these terms meaningfully, the effective date above changes and we email anyone with an active account. continued use after a change means you accept the new terms. if you don't, delete your account.
governing law
these terms are governed by the laws of india. disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of bengaluru, karnataka.
